El Tapatio opened in Imperial Beach in 1979. A family-owned and operated business that has roots that trace back to Guadalajara Mexico. El Tapatio has been serving authentic Mexican food, from tacos, burritos, clamatos, and more! In 2001 El Tapatio expanded its services and opened its catering. Allowing for the Taste of Guadalajara to travel throughout San Diego. El Tapatio Catering offers services for all types of events, weddings, corporate events, and private parties. Still owned by the same family, and passed on from generation to generation. El Tapatio is currently celebrating 45 years of business!
